FMC Guardian Ambulance Building

Project Completed on May 14, 2015

Construction is Complete on the new Flagstaff Medical Center Guardian Ambulance building. This building is complete with a state of the art dispatch call center, on-site sleep rooms, and an ambulance garage with a vehicle exhaust evacuation system. The electrical distribution includes a 1200 Amp Service entrance, a 125 KW generator, a 50KVA UPS and Starline buss duct. The LED and fluorescent lighting is controlled by a central lighting control panel and local occupancy sensors. This project also included an elevator by ThyssenKrupp that housed all of the equipment in the cab and pit. This was the first elevator to be installed in Arizona that did not require a separate machine room for the equipment.

Love’s Travel Stop Williams

Project Completed on May 14, 2015

Recently completed is the Love’s Travel Stop in Williams Arizona. This was a ground up project that included two fuel canopies, a convenience store, shower facilities, a Subway sandwich shop, a Carl’s Jr. and a truck repair facility. Energy efficient LED lighting and programmable distribution equipment was installed throughout the project.

APS Trilby Wash Control Station

Project Completed on June 18, 2014

This project is located in Surprise, Arizona and is a 230 KV substation control enclosure for APS. Our scope includes a multisource distribution system, grounding ring, aluminum ladder cable tray, bonding, and lighting.

NAU Skydome Sound System

This project consists of upgrading the electrical distribution and wiring for the new sound system installed in the NAU Skydome.

Burger King Flagstaff Remodel

Project Completed on January 3, 2014

This project is the remodel of an existing Burger King on the west side of Flagstaff. The remodel will include updating the interior and exterior lighting to LED and fluorescent as well as adding to the electrical distribution capacity. In order to minimize revenue loss during construction, this project will be completed in two phases to allow the drive thru and kitchen to remain operational.

FedEx Freight Expansion

The FedEx Freight project is an expansion to the existing transfer facility that will include new docking stations and new offices. The lighting is energy efficient LED and T-5 fluorescent as well as occupancy sensors with daylight harvesting.

Lowell Library and Collection Center

Project Completed on October 1, 2013

The new Library and Collections Center is being constructed at the Lowell campus on Mars Hill to house the Observatory’s extensive historical collections. This 8,600 square foot CMU building will have energy efficient LED and fluorescent lighting and three phase electrical distribution system.

Café Rio

The Café Rio project is a renovation of an existing structure on Woodlands Blvd. in Flagstaff. This fast paced restaurant project has a 55 day duration to meet a preset Grand Opening Ceremony. The electrical scope includes demolition, lighting, power, distribution, fire alarm, and equipment connections.

Project Completed on September 8, 2013

With the new Catholic Church completed construction has begun on the new Catholic School on the McMillan Mesa campus. This 44,000 square foot school and gym is ICF and steel stud construction with energy efficient LED lighting and a 1,200 Amp Service Entrance. This project will be completed in three phases.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches

Project Completed on September 8, 2013

This is a TI build out for a franchise restaurant located on Milton Road in Flagstaff, AZ. The project is a new prototype set up with LED lighting and 400 Amps of distribution equipment.

Tucson CIS Building

Project Completed on August 29, 2013

This a 17,000 square foot ground up building located in Tucson. The lighting package consists of energy efficient fluorescent fixtures as well as Dark Sky compliant exterior lighting. Nearly all of the interior fixtures will be controlled by a network of occupancy sensors and relay packs that will increase the energy efficiency.

WAPA Flagstaff Substation

Nearing completion is the expansion to the existing WAPA substation located just East of Flagstaff. This project includes new aluminum cable tray in the existing building as well as in the addition. As part of the project specifications all conduit installed is rigid heavy wall with threaded terminations. The grounding grid included connections to every roof panel as well as all interior equipment. The fixture package included explosion proof linear LED lights in the battery room.

Super Express Car Wash and Gas

This project is a remodel and expansion of an existing car wash and convenience store in Flagstaff. The car wash will be getting all new equipment that requires a new APS transformer and a new 277/480 volt service entrance in a new location with electrical distribution that includes multiple transformers. The goal of this project is to maintain 100% operation of the gas pumps.

This is a new 22,000 square foot ground up project located on top of McMillan Mesa in Flagstaff. This project has an all LED fixture package including the dark sky compliant exterior and site lighting. The interior LED lighting has an integrated dimming control panel for increased energy efficiency and scene setting.

Ground has been broken on the Summit Fire District New Maintenance Building. This is a new steel building with energy efficient fluorescent high bay lighting. The exterior fixtures are Dark Sky compliant CFL fixtures as well with remote motion sensor controls to reduce the energy consumption even further.

APS Coconino Control Station

This is a ground up project for APS that is located next to the Northern Arizona University campus. The building is not very big but is packed full of equipment and cable tray. The electrical gear includes a 600 Amp isolation bypass transfer switch and custom built gutters. There is 36”, 30” and 12” aluminum cable tray with extensive bonding. The lighting includes energy efficient fluorescent interior lighting and LED exterior emergency fixtures.

Moenkopi Well and Water Treatment Facility

This project is a new well and reverse osmosis water treatment facility for the Village of Moenkopi located on the Hopi reservation in Arizona. The well pump controls are wireless and use a photovoltaic powered repeater to transmit the signal from the RO building on the mesa to the well located in the valley.

This is a residential single family home that is utilizing sustainable building practices. In an effort to minimize the carbon footprint this home will have a photovoltaic collection system, a wind turbine generator, solar water heating, a rain water collection cistern, in floor heat using the solar heated water, finished concrete floors to eliminate the use of carpet and carpet padding, salvaged lighting fixtures that have been refurbished to accept CFL lamps and much more.

Northland Preparatory Academy is expanding their campus with a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Flagstaff. This new building consists of 14 classrooms a multipurpose area as well as administration offices and restrooms. The interior lighting is energy efficient fluorescent fixtures with ceiling and wall mounted occupancy sensors. The site lighting is Dark Sky compliant Low Pressure Sodium fixtures. The service entrance has an integral TVSS and room for future expansion.

The Woodlands Commons project is a 7,500 square foot, single level, masonry building with steel trusses. This project will have a TVSS (Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor) protecting the electrical system, occupancy sensors, LED and fluorescent lighting as well as a full Daylight Harvesting lighting control system.

Discovery Channel Telescope

Located about 40 miles outside of Flagstaff, The Discovery Channel Telescope is a project we have been involved with starting from the budgetary phase that is nearing completion. Working with the staff at Lowell and their engineers to install a complex electrical system that will power what is expected to be the fifth largest telescope in the continental United States. This project has an elaborate lightning protection and grounding system that is needed to protect the electronics housed within for the telescope controls. It has a full rotating Dome with a series of electric panels and control cabinets that rotate with the dome utilizing a power rail system. On site is also an auxiliary building that contains a recoating plant for the telescope lens. Topping off the electrical system is a UPS and back-up generator to ensure constant power delivery.

This project was a remodel of an existing bank building located in historic downtown Flagstaff. The space was divided into three suites with a common area and the existing electrical service entrance was upgraded to equipment with individual metering and the ability for future expansion.

This project is located in the busy Southside part of downtown Flagstaff and will include changing street lighting power from overhead to underground. We will also be refinishing the existing light poles and installing new lighting fixtures and arms. The streets are to remain partially open and we will be working around pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Coconino Community College Classrooms

This project consists of turning an existing childcare building into an instructional space and two existing classrooms into a science lab. Both areas feature multimedia instructional aids as well as fire and security alarm modifications. Extensive demolition was required in both areas that needed to be done in a manner as not to interrupt the surrounding classrooms ability to be occupied. The lighting controls utilized in this build will be the latest products by Wattstopper to maximize energy efficiency.

Located in Flagstaff, this project is the addition of new offices to multiple locations throughout the campus. We are performing the work in occupied areas and maintaining 100% usage of the facility for the staff and students. This project was a ground up build located in the Flagstaff Autoplex. The building is an automotive sales specific design with a large showroom, sales and clerical offices as well as a complete service department. The lighting inside and out was designed to provide the correct illumination needed for showcasing the product without relying on natural light.

This project was a complete demolition and rebuild of the food court located at The Flagstaff Mall. The construction was completed without affecting the mall retail stores and includes a new entry, dining area and several restaurant counters with complete food prep and cooking facilities.

This project was a new build located in the Flagstaff Market Place. The electrical installation includes circuitry for an aquatic display located in the center of the retail area and multiple point of sale counters near the front. It also has a lighting control panel capable of being monitored and controlled from the corporate office.
